KNIFE SHEATH WITH CHRISTINE RUTHERFORD. Do you have a knife needing a protective home? Or do you want to make a better sheath than the yucky kydex ones that come with new knives? If you're a knife maker, this is the workshop for you. Join Christine to learn the basics from start to finish. Christine will show tips and tricks and also 'dont's' of sheath making. In this workshop you will make a two piece sheath for your standard knife. You will learn how to make a welt so that that sharp blade will not cut the stitches in your sheath. Bring your favourite knife to work with, with the full length to not exceed 30cm. You will be working with 3 to 3.5mm natural veg tanned cow hide and will be dyeing or antiquing on the day.
Next Class is on November 9th, Saturday morning 8.00am to 11.30pm
